Königskontor 28, Hamburg
The office building on Königstrasse was developed by the design agency Mutabor in partnership with Paribus Capital and completed in 2016. The existing building was thoroughly modernized in an elaborate refurbishment. and received a new facade in brick, steel and glass optics, which was inspired by the Hanseatic Indus¬trie buildings. High-quality loft space and modern office space were created on a total of seven floors of the building. The newly created front building offers spacious open hall areas with integrated catering and a reception area.
In this project, we took over the lighting design for the entire office building. The aim was to unite the different functional and design areas of the tenants in a uniform lighting design. A key feature of the building is the lavishly refurbished imperial ceilings, which are present on all floors. The lighting adapts to this structure in the different areas and thus we are not perceived foreign body in the architecture. In the glass porch that contains the restaurant and reception, the recessed spotlights and pendant luminaires were integrated into the structure of the chilled-heated ceilings so that they blend harmoniously into the overall picture. For this purpose, we developed project-related special luminaires and modifications for series luminaires in coordination with the client.
