Kapelle Mariahilf, Bamberg
Special challenges arose in the planning of the chapel integrated into the vocational school. The space was to be opened for multifunctional use, while at the same time the sacred character of the church interior was to be preserved. The goal was to create a bright, friendly space that could host a variety of events from choir nights to church services. The lights are regularly arranged in groups of three under the vault extensions. Two spotlights of each arrangement illuminate the vault in a cross shape and provide a high diffuse light component via the reflection on the ceiling. The third spotlight is directed into the interior and provides direct, brilliant lighting here. All luminaires can be switched and dimmed separately via the DALI interface. This allows various lighting scenes to be implemented that are optimally matched to the requirements of the users
